Our highly skilled practitioners have years of experience in caring for cancer patients and treating people affected by lymphoedema. Practice Owner, Principal Physiotherapist, Pilates Instructor
Orsi is a German trained physiotherapist with a special interest in cancer care and lymphoedema management. She has been working as a clinician for 20 years and is considered an expert in her field.
Orsi completed her Higher Degree by Research Master’s at The University of Sydney in 2020, investigating upper limb lymphoedema and compression. She is a strong advocate for the integration of physiotherapy into cancer care and is actively involved in patient and staff education at multiple hospitals across Sydney.
Orsi believes that everyone undergoing cancer treatment should have access to best practice health care and advocates a model that integrates multiple disciplines into the rehabilitation process. Oncology Recovery Services Inc. is her vision of a centre that combines experts in their field providing patient centered care with the goal to optimise long-term outcomes.
Orsi seeks to make a difference in the area of cancer rehabilitation by facilitating regular free community events and platforms to engage, educate and empower patients.
Orsi is a long standing member of the Australian Lymphology Association (ALA) and is part of the editorial committee for their medical journal.
Massage Therapist (remedial, oncology and lymphatic massage)
Tineke obtained her remedial massage qualifications at the Australian College of Natural Therapies at Torrens University in 2008. She undertook further studies in order to provide targeted treatment for patients with a cancer diagnosis, and became a registered oncology massage therapist in 2014.
Early 2019 Tineke studied lymphoedema management, including manual lymphatic drainage and complex decongestive therapy, to broaden her skills and services to her patients. Upon completion of the course, Tineke became a registered lymphoedema practitioner with the Australasian Lymphoedema Association.
Tineke is passionate about combining her various skills to provide highest level of care to each patient. She can draw on nearly 15 years’ of experience as a massage therapist to guide every patient towards a more balanced unity of body and mind with her consistent dedication and genuine care.
Tineke is a professional member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS), the Australasian Lymphology Association (ALA) and Oncology Massage Limited (OML).
Physiotherapist, Massage Therapist
Clare is a physiotherapist with over 25 years’ experience. During this time, she has helped many people overcome their physical limitations.
Clare has worked in large hospital settings as well as private practices across Australia and the USA. She has joined our team in January 2021.
Clare is an advanced lymphoedema practitioner and has a broad knowledge and ample experience when it comes to managing oedematous conditions. She has extended her skills in massage therapy while living in the USA and became passionate about providing oncology massage to cancer patients.
Clare is a member of the International Society for Oncology Massage (ISOM) and the Australasian Lymphology Association (ALA).
Catalina is a physiotherapist from Chile, where she worked in breast cancer rehabilitation and obtained her postgraduate Diploma in Physiotherapy and Oncology and a Diploma in Sciences of Physical Activity.
Catalina has a special interest in lymphoedema, which led her to complete her master’s by research at The University of Sydney in 2020, looking at assessment and treatment for hand lymphoedema.
Catalina works as a research assistant for the Breast Oedema Program at the Breast Cancer Institute in Westmead Hospital. She completed her lymphoedema training in Sydney at Casley-Smith International, and currently holds limited registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) to practice physiotherapy in Australia.
Massage Therapist, Yoga and Pilates Instructor
Vanessa has been living in Sydney since 2016. From a very young age, in her home country Chile, she has been interested in fitness and wellness. Over the years her passion for yoga and Pilates has grown stronger, and she decided to deepen her knowledge by studying at The Sports Fitness College.
Vanessa successfully completed a Certificate IV in Massage Therapy and a Certificate IV in Yoga Teacher training. Vanessa is also a certified mat work Pilates Instructor.
Vanessa is passionate about providing well-rounded classes, targeting each person’s specific needs and tailoring sessions to the individual through using a holistic approach.
Vanessa is a fully registered member with the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS).
Alison (Allie) came on board in July 2021 to support our team as a part-time practice coordinator. Allie is a qualified personal trainer and ran a successful business for over 15 years, supporting clients achieve their fitness goals.
Allie has maintained her passion for health and fitness, enjoys keeping active, and even worked as a professional abseiler for a while with a story or two to tell about her adventures.
Allie worked as a medical receptionist for eight years and knows how to effortlessly navigate the behind the scenes of a clinic life. She is energetic and highly motivated. Allie creates a happy atmosphere at our reception due to her easy-going and down to Earth demeanor.
Allie loves the great outdoors and spending quality time with her family on their little sailboat or going for long walks with her dog.
Irene joined our team in October 2021 as a part-time practice coordinator. She spent more than 10 years assisting customers in the optical sector and the cultural industry. She has a love for people, enjoys customer service roles and has a fine attention to detail. Irene has a master’s degree in history, she loves traveling and learning about different cultures. She is an active and social person and likes spending time doing outdoor activities with her husband and friends.
