Massage Therapist
About the role
All clinicians at ORSI are required to have lymphoedema qualifications. As a lymphoedema Massage Therapist you will need to confidently manage various oedematous conditions and closely collaborate with your allied health colleagues.
Remedial massage therapy skills are preferred to be able to assist with musculoskeletal conditions.
Oncology massage skills are desired.

Qualifications and experience
- Current professional membership for massage therapy
- Relevant visa or permanent residency in Australia
- Lymphoedema qualifications
- Professional Indemnity Insurance
- 2+ years’ experience in private practice preferred
- Up-to-date CPR and first aid certificates required
- Australian driver’s licence (if you wish to add home visits into your services)
- Diploma of Remedial Massage
- Oncology massage skills desirable but not essential
Tasks and responsibilities
- Guide patients through our service offerings and assist to choose the type of massage that is most beneficial to them
- Take relevant medical histories, conduct a thorough physical assessment
- Design sessions around patients’ specific needs
- Competently deliver relevant massage therapy techniques
- Provide clear and timely treatment documentation
- Plan short-and long-term treatment strategies in line with patients’ goals
- Keep up to date with relevant guidelines, research outcomes and evidence based clinical practices

Working with the ORSI team
We provide a holistic workplace with a supportive team and opportunities to grow and learn through regular in-service and ‘meet and greet’ sessions with surgeons, oncologists and other health professionals in the field. You will be able to take part in or lead our community events and The Learning Hub.
As the clinic receptionist you will be a key part of our tight-knit group. You will enjoy regular team lunches, social events and celebrations, which are never mandatory, but always well attended.
