SUPPORTING YOUR RECOVERY DURING AND AFTER YOUR CANCER TREATMENT
Decades of experience
in personalized cancer care
Oncology Recovery Services Inc. is a multidisciplinary centre that specialises in cancer care and lymphoedema management.
With decades of experience in oncology rehabilitation, we combine physiotherapy, oncology massage, and exercise therapy into a tailored program to help you reduce pain, improve movement, and regain confidence. By integrating these therapies, we aim to minimise the side effects of cancer treatment and support your overall wellbeing.
Over the years, we’ve developed a deep understanding of how different cancer types, including breast cancer, head and neck, prostate, lung, melanomas, and gynaecological cancers, impact your body and emotions. More importantly, we know how to help you recover safely, regain strength, and improve your quality of life.
Our Philosophy
To deliver a multidisciplinary approach to your care in a supportive environment where you can improve both your physical and emotional well-being.
Our Role
To educate, encourage,
and support you across our services
and deliver the highest standard
of care tailored
to you.
Our Goal
Your goals are our goals. Together, we work to reduce your physical limitations, help you progress safely, and support you in enjoying the activities of life you value most.
TAILORED CARE FOR YOU IN SYDNEY
Our three-step process for you
Assessment
Your treatment begins with a thorough, personalised assessment. We take the time to listen to your story, including your medical history, lifestyle, hobbies, exercise habits, and family situation, so we can understand your needs and goals. With your consent, we may liaise with your GP, surgeon, oncologist, or other specialists to build a complete picture of your health. If specific assessment tools or tests are needed, we always explain their purpose and how they help guide your recovery.
Treatment
Once we understand your situation and goals, we create a treatment plan tailored to you. Your plan may include Physiotherapy, Massage Therapy, and Exercise Therapy, , and lymphoedema management. We encourage you to take an active role in your care, including self-management strategies and home exercises, to support faster recovery. If your plan involves multiple services, our team collaborates closely to ensure smooth transitions between therapists. Many patients start with physiotherapy, include oncology massage as needed, and progress to guided exercise therapy. We may also recommend complementary practitioners such as personal trainers, exercise physiologists, dietitians, psychologists, or acupuncturists, drawing on our strong network of trusted cancer care professionals.
Maintenance
Some side effects of cancer treatment require ongoing management. Together, we create a personalised long-term plan that fits your lifestyle, teaching self-management techniques, tailored exercise programs, and coping strategies. Family, friends, or carers can be involved to support your recovery. Regular reviews help us track your progress and optimise outcomes over time.
Our clinic runs regular community events and workshops to educate and empower you to be an active and informed part of your treatment.
