Recovering from head and neck cancer

About the Video

The treatment for head and neck cancer can include surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy. While these interventions can save lives, they may leave patients with debilitating side effects.

Some of these side effects include tightness, stiffness, limited movement of the jaw, neck or the shoulder, swelling, difficulty speaking or swallowing. A specialized physiotherapist can assist with identifying and managing these side effects of cancer treatment.

At Oncology Recovery Services Inc., Sydney’s leading cancer rehabilitation center, we are providing care for patients with a cancer diagnosis. This is a conversation with one of our patients who talks about the difficulties he is facing and how he is trying to overcome them.
