Secondary lymphoedema is most commonly the result of cancer treatment. In some cases it is mild, in some cases it can be very severe. When severe, lymphoedema can impact on the function of the arm. Simple activities of daily living such as driving, showering, brushing teeth, can become impossible. Managing lymphoedema and applying targeted physiotherapy are important to assist with regaining the use of the arm.
